About us<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Thein is an investment group founded by Tom\u00e1\u0161 Budn\u00edk in the spring of 2020. In collaboration with J&T and through two qualified investor
funds\u2014J&T Thein SICAV, which covers the Digital segment, and Thein Private Equity SICAV, focused on the industrial segment\u2014we acquire and connect promising companies for further development. Our focus is on technology companies in the fields of information and communication technologies, cybersecurity, and Industry 4.0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each company in our portfolio plays a key role in fulfilling our vision, which is based on cooperation and synergy between the individual businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our goal is not short-term profit; we are not a startup solely focused on closing an investment round. We look far into the future. We believe that this long-term approach is also attractive to professionals seeking a stable environment for their career growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thein is a creative environment, not a corporation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tom\u00e1\u0161 Budn\u00edk and most of our colleagues grew professionally in corporations, where they encountered limitations that held them back in many ways. To be agile and adaptable to new market needs, you need autonomy and passion. We are building a group with an entrepreneurial approach, aiming to avoid the nonsense we encountered in our day-to-day corporate work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are fast and adaptable, which is why we strive for the flattest structure possible, minimizing resistance between decision-making and execution. The strategic leadership of the group and its individual companies is built around Tom\u00e1\u0161 Budn\u00edk\u2019s visionary approach. HISTORY OF THEIN <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Why We Call Ourselves Thein<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The surname Thein has a long and, most importantly, interesting history that dates back to the era after WW1, called the First Republic. Tom\u00e1\u0161 Budn\u00edk’s wife has Jewish roots and belongs to this family line. The Thein family and their relatives were influential and cultured individuals, holding positions as lawyers, doctors, teachers, and artists. They helped shape Czechoslovakia after the WW1, a time when Czech industry was among the world’s best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Bertold Thein, a prominent lawyer, contributed to the creation of the first Czechoslovak constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The legacy of the Thein name can also be found on a plaque at the National Theatre. Director and actor Hanu\u0161 Thein was a leading figure in opera, contributing to its development not only at the National Theatre but beyond the borders of Bohemia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thein, the name of the investment company founded by Tom\u00e1\u0161 Budn\u00edk in 2020, pays tribute to his family heritage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The headquarters of Thein Group is located in the modern Office Building Enterprise, near the Pankr\u00e1c metro station. Our offices are situated on the 1st and 6th floors.
